The five days are namely Dhantheras (Dhana thrayodhasi), Naraka Chathurdasi, Diwali, Padwa (Govardhan pooja) and Bhrathri Dooj (Bhai dooj).

Naraka Chathurdasi is celebrated on account of narakasur (a demon) death inn hands of Lord krishna with the help of Satyabama.
On the day of Diwali people worship Goddess Laxmi and Lord vishnu for wealth and prosperity in their life with full of light. This day is also the celebration for Lord Rama returning to ayodhya from the forest after defeating the demon Ravana.
The fourth day is Padwa, on this day the people perform govardhan giri pooja, Govardhan giri is a mountain. Lord Krishna in the form of mountain is called Govardhan. It is celebrated on account of harvesting.

The last day is Bhai dooj, it can be said as the festival of sisters. On this day Lord yama visited his sister yamuna and gives her a boon that whoever visits her on that day will get moksha in their life.
